Positive: Accommodation on high level. Spacious rooms. Good pools for both swimming and recreation. Good restaurant. Excellent diving center and great makro dive spots within 10 minutes by boat

Negative: The beach is not really nice - black sand, sometimes big waves

Positive: We like the clean green privacy in our 3 bedroom villa 2. With our own pool the kids could play whenever they wanted. The kitchen was good too as we don’t need to eat out all the time. Good for family holiday with kids.

Negative: The hot water in the bath was not reliable

Positive: This hotel s everything we wanted it to be and more! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I needed something from the pharmacy so they went and bought it for me, they delivered food to us from the restaurant (which is next door), they delivered our final bill and completed check out in our room rather than at reception, they booked a taxi back to the airport, carried all luggage without any requests being made....They were fantastic! The grounds are stunning, lots of green grass and flowers and trees plus multiple pools. Connecting to pura vida next door was also great because that was also a beautiful place, and it had a kids playpark which was a massive bonus! The actual apartment was fantastic, so much space and everything we needed was there. We had a two bed poolside apt and it was really spacious. I'd happily stay here again.

Positive: The apartment was spacious and homey. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs, especially the service staff in the restaurant. Very lovely garden with a big swimming pool, the view of the sea from the balcony is quite stunning. I would like to go back and stay for a few more days.

Negative: If there is one thing I can add to make the apartment even more liveable, I would add a magnifying mirror for the ladies. A toilet kit complete with dental floss, cotton buds, a box of tissue paper and liquid soap for the sink. An overhead light inside the closets would also be helpful. Other than that, Pura Vida is my favorite place in Dauin.

Positive: We liked everything. The staff were friendly, and were always quick to assist us. The breakfast and the menu at the restaurant were very variable. Everywhere we went within their facilities were always clean. We will definitely come back and recommend the place.

Negative: We thought the New Year's buffet menu was not toeveryone's taste so found it expensive. We should have ordered from the regular menu instead. Other than that everything is more than we expected.

Summary: Excellent resort for a good base to explore Negros Oriental and neighbouring islands
