Summary: Very nice clean place in beautiful location. Small but upscale. We enjoyed our 4 nights there very much. Seems quite luxurious for the size and all the amenities were there with a nice feeling of privacy. It was a big help that there was a washer/dryer. The only two things I can call drawbacks wouldn't even matter for most people. It's more like a studio than a one bedroom as there is no door between the kitchen and bedroom areas. My wife is a light sleeper so I couldn't make coffee or breakfast without the light or noise waking her. Also, the walking path to the entrance is up a small grass hill that would be no problem for most people, but my wife has a bad knee and hill was a small issue for her. All in all though I can highly recommend the place for a single person or couple looking for a place at Lake Como. Very private, relaxing, clean, well appointed, and nicely decorated. The neighborhood felt very safe and was close enough to everything we came to Varenna for. Having a garage to park in was also very nice.
