Positive: Lovely place and very nice breakfast - Enjoyed it and the room is lovely and very modern. 4-5 Star Amenities. A bit tricky to find. Best to take a picture of the place and show to the taxi drivers in chinese.

Positive: As an American there were aplenty American hotel chains to choose from. Not. This all new local hotel rooms from the 40th to the 46th top floors were superb in every way amenities included. The staff were friendly and yes the language barrier is easily overcome with a language app. To top everything off INCLUDED in the great room rate is a sumptuous buffet BREAKFAST. THE TAXI

Negative: The taxi driver could have dropped me at the hotel and not down and around the corner. Many bystanders were on point to help mind you.

Summary: When I return to Urumqi, Luolan Hotel will be my only choice for accomodations.

Negative: No English speaking hotel staff; hotel was difficult to find because there were no signposts at all indicating the hotel.

Positive: The staff was very kind to me. The mattress is comfortable; I had an excellent sleep. The rooms are very quiet; you cannot hear the city (my room was on the 42nd floor). All in all, I had a good experience during my business trip. They also offer smoking rooms, so be sure to choose the right one for you.
