Positive: Good location. The clean room staff is great that they arrange my boys blankets and stuffy in a cute way. My boys were look forward to that. Staff seem always there at front desk. Quiet place.

Negative: The elevator to the hotel is hot. It’s in a mixed used building. Top floor is the hotel.

Summary: Great location and affordable price. Cute arrangement of stuffy after room cleaning.

Positive: Staff were courteous, which is nice. Rooms while small, are clean and neat. Location is decent, within walking distance to the MRT. 24hour convenience door right downstairs is a plus

Negative: Room is a little small compared to neighbouring properties, could also be better designed to help Guests feel more settled in. The design seems to be encouraging you to live out of your luggage. Very little space for you to set out your clothes or any other personal stuff. Room walls are thin - I stayed next to a corner unit and the door of that unit is approximately at the head of my bed- it is NOT comfy every time that door is opened or closed. Lift lobby on the ground floor smells 'funky' at times.

Positive: Daily cleaning, and replenish water and towels. Comfortable bed. Good lighting. Shower is great. Perfect place to sleep or stay in for the night.

Negative: The Window view was okay. Not as good of a view as I thought.

Positive: The reviews here were quite acurate and corresponded more or less to what I got. For me, the entrance was not an issue. Having stayed in two other hotels not very far as well, I have noted that not all the hotels have such a good location as Urtrip because it is lively outside, metro and buses very close, many restaurants close by. Some other areas are more like business districts and are quite dead especially in the night. The staff is reasonably friendly, it is the taiwanese style, not to be artificially polite and not to greet all the time, which I actually find more natural. Urtrip helped me in advance to assess whether the matress would be ok (send a foto with a well-known brand) and so on. The light in the room was good, and you had a nice concrete jungle view. The bathroom and a few other details were designed quite intelligent to make the most out of the small space. The interior was technically in a reasonable and functional condition. Hot water in shower was perfect. Before I forget: The room is as silent as you can expect in a big city; no relevant noise disturbance! You can sleep well.

Negative: The room was a bit smaller then I expected from the fotos etc., but in the end I felt relatively comfi with it, and managed even to do some life drawing sessions with a model and an eazel (!). Hotels in Taipei (at least the 3 I tested) were all a bit run-down. Some reviews here convey the impression that the room is immaculate, which is a bit exaggerated. The room would deserve a renovation, although it is ok. The matrass was a bit too soft for me; it has an integrated topper which is non-removable. Luckily, I had no complaints with back pain, so not a big issue. ***Important: When you take a shower at night after a lot of walking before you sleep, even in cold December/January, what happens is that the whole room fills with vapour. If you open the window then to get it out, you will get in a few minutes let´s say about 3 mosquitos. I tell you, Taipei mosquitos are known to be very smart, unlike rural mosquitos (a local friend told me so). It took me almost an hour each time to kill them all (which may produce a red spot on the wall...). During christmas and New Year, the room was totally overpriced, but I had virtually no other choice, but then prices dropped ca. 50%.

Summary: In fact a nice place, but there may be others for better value for money

Negative: Night-time staff was not very friendly. Location is a bit far from the metro. Toilet size is very small.
