Positive: A very cosy little home from home. For men that lived an outdoor childhood and enjoyed starting fires as a youth, recapture some of that adrenaline rush by playing with the open fire stove. Logs supplied. Plenty of bottled water provided by the host, as well as butter, some bread and milk. Couldn't have asked for more..

Negative: There is nothing about the house that we didn't like. But I will comment on the surrounding roads. If you are a nervous driver, this may not be the place for you. Especially if there are road works and diversions at play. On the flip side, I have, in my mind, thought of the plans to create an effective car parachute. I don't think I will take my plans any further, but should someone decide to buy them from me, this time next year you could be a millionaire..

Positive: The quiet location and the clean house, it had everything we needed and more. The pack of food essentials was a nice touch. There is access to Midgley moor for walking.and you're only a few minutes away from the village shops.

Positive: Very peaceful cottage with superb views over the Calder valley. The welcome pack was very much appreciated, it included bread milk butter wine crisps and water. Tea coffee and sugar was also left for us to use. The kitchen has everything you need.

Negative: The doors that separate the lounge from the kitchen will not close which allows the cold air to come through.

Positive: Everything. Marvelous view from the rooms, very spacious room and well equipped kitchen. We stayed here for 7 days felt like being home. Recommended to anyone like to enjoy sense of serenity and peacefulness. The location is very convenient. Thanks for the lovely experience.
