Farthings is a unique, luxuriously appointed thatched cottage in Wroxham, the heart of the Broads National Park, a very desirable location, having its own private hot tub, games cabin and tree house to enjoy.
Discerning guests will delight with the charm and character of this cottage, complimented by all the modern essentials, beautifully renovated in 2022, being a well-appointed holiday home welcoming family groups, large and small, and offering various extras such as paddleboards, spa packages, and even a private chef!
After a day sightseeing you can soak away the day in the hot tub or relax within the wonderful, enclosed wrap-round garden filled with mature planting, which during the summer months is an explosion of colour, a haven for butterflies, visiting bird life, and a resident hedgehog family.
Al fresco dining can be enjoyed on the patio terrace, or just sit back, enjoying the sunshine and your peaceful surroundings. Farthings has origins dating back to the late 1700s, filled with history, and if you look carefully on the external brickwork, you will find carvings from former residents dating back to 1820.
Cosy during the cooler evenings, the kitchen is well equipped with large farmhouse dining table perfect for any celebration meal.

Summary: We had a lovely family break for my husband’s 60 th birthday. Cottage was lovey very well presented tree house and games room brilliant and hot tub well kept by David . The hot bread that was delivered along with the welcome pack was a very nice touch . So nice to have all our family dogs welcome to we had 4 with us . Thank you once again for a warm and. Summary: We enjoyed a large family get together in this superb cottage. It appealed to every age range including the games room and hot tub and the hot bread on the first evening was a winner with everybody. Would definitely recommend.

Summary: The cottage was amazing everything you could wish was catered for The extra touches were much appreciated from the home made bread on arrival the games room having a stock of snacks and the poo bags for the dogs !! Highly recommended 5 star

Summary: 11 of my family enjoyed a lovey stay in the cottage over the Easter weekend. From booking to arrival we were kept updated with email and message communications which were detailed and helpful. Upon arrival there was a lovely welcome pack and cottage was lovely and clean. There was everything needed for a comfortable stay……and more. The kids enjoyed the garden the most, making great use of the open space, tree house, hot tub and play room. The cottage was very spacious with different areas to relax and socialise. David was very helpful and kind and the warm bread package on our first night was a lovely appreciated touch. We couldn’t fault the accommodation and would definitely return when we get a chance. A lovely property in a nice location only 10mins from Wroxham.

Summary: Absolutely lovely cottage. Big enough for the 12 of us + a large dog for a special birthday weekend. The cottage had everything you would need, including the extra snacks in play room. Loved the little notes left by the hot tub every morning & lovely fresh baked bread kindly delivered on arrival. Have already highly recommended Farthings Cottage to multiple friends & will have no hesitation in booking again.

Summary: As always another lovely stay at Farthings. The hot tub constantly in use by all the family. The younger ones enjoyed feeding and watching the fish and drawing with the outdoor chalks. The older youngsters enjoying the company of their cousins whilst playing video & traditional games. The adults just relaxing. The warm welcome and homemade bread is always a winner. Just a lovely place to stay and meet up with family.

Summary: Family time is very important to me. My family and I spent a few days at Farthings, celebrating my eldest daughter’s 30th birthday. The house is welcoming and very homely. So well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The owners are delightful. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend a stay at this charming cottage.

Summary: A brilliant venue for a multi generational family get together for a belated birthday celebration. Everyone really loved it, grandparents, children and grandchildren. Dogs also loved it. House just amazing.

Summary: This is a fantastic place to book for a cosy, comfortable stay. 12 of us stayed at Farthings for a girls weekend in October and it was the perfect location for us. Through the website we were able to book a private chef to cook for us on the first night, and spa treatments at the cottage on the second day with 3 therapists coming to pamper us. There is everything you could need from kitchen utensils, to books and games, a hot tub and cosy beds. It is also a good location for a stumble into Wroxham. Highly recommend the bottomless brunch at Fizz & Fromage (around 25 min walk).

Summary: I am so glad I booked The Farthings cottage for a family weekend break. There was something for each generation. The hot tub was extremely popular tucked away in a beautiful garden. Treehouse and games room for the younger ones, a pond full of fish for the children to feed but built high enough to be safe for the toddler. Everything was immaculate with bedding for the sofa beds in sealed bags ready to be used if needed. The fresh baked bread was a lovely gesture together with the welcome pack. Hannah and family are extremely good hosts and kept me informed all the way from booking to our leaving. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we all had a really lovely stay.
