Positive: Mario met us as we were parking and gave us a tour, information, and recommendations. The welcome basket was terrific. After a long day of travel from the US (23 hours), Mario had provided various drinks and snacks that could easily provide for the evening and morning. Through his generosity we were able to immediately drop everything, open a bottle of wine, create a delicious plate of appetizers, and enjoy the terrace with its incredible view of the ocean. Hospitality at its finest. The location/view is fabulous with beach, restaurants and grocery shops just steps away. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Communication (texting) was almost instantaneous. Neighbors were friendly. Parking was right outside our door. Very private and safe feeling. Of the 4 places we stayed during our 2 week trip, this home was the most welcoming and comfortable. Thank you, Mario.

Positive: What a gem of a find! Perched on top of a cliffside village away from the crowds with stunning views. It was filled with charm and decorated with art and photos from the owners, Mario and Catia. We have traveled often in Portugal and this was one of our favorite finds. Exceptional in every way.

Positive: Read the other reviews and praises - they are all true, the place is magnificent. But...

Negative: I write from Value for Money perspective. This place isn't cheap, but it has some flaws: 1. The smell of humidity appears in the living room, not the strong one and the apartment has tons of aromatic sticks, fragrance removers and whatnot. Some people may even not mention this, anyway, sleeping with open windows solves the problem. 2. The stove has this strange temperature self regulatory feature, cooking can be a bit challenging. The rest is awesome!
