Summary: Good country hotel in quiet village, friendly staff and great evening meal and breakfast, unfortunately not the most comfortable bed.

Summary: we stayed in one of the lodges, which were excellent and very clean the lodges are very spacious and have a large lounge and small kitchen area. the food was locally sourced and good I would recommend staying here when doing the nc 500 as we did

Summary: I've stayed at the Ulbster Arms before whilst fishing the river Thurso. This time I was staying on business. Despite the very difficult circumstances with covid restrictions I still had a very pleasant stay. Every member of staff I've ever met at the hotel always goes the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible and each individual is a credit to the business.

Summary: Room was great but the mattress wasn’t up to standard unfortunately! The food was great but the service in the restaurant was slow but I know they are adjusting to the Covid rules.

Summary: A characterful hotel largely catering for fishing. We stayed one night before the Orkney ferry. In the unusual circumstances the staff were extremely helpful and did everything to make our stay pleasant. Dinner was good and they willingly gave us an early breakfast.
