Ranelagh was built in 1875 for Joshua Gill who wished to accommodate his large family of 10 children. Ranelagh was built in a stately manner ( which is unrivalled in Dubbo, even by today's standards) to reflect Gills status as a prosperous local merchant. Gill owned the first general store in Dubbo, The Overland Store.

Summary: We'll remember our stay fondly! Incredible place, really unique, our kids loved the full-sized billiards table and made the most of having serve-yourself breakfast included. What this place lacks in creature comforts, it makes up for in uniqueness.

Summary: Had a great stay. This is a lovely place, if only the walls could talk. Close to town, well kitted out....except no vegemite in the cupboard! Ha ha :-) But every thing else you could imagine.
