Positive: Rodger and his wife own and live on-site in the beautiful small inn. He is a very kind and first class human being who takes care of his guests without being intrusive. In addition to seeing that all of your on-site needs are met, he guides you to local points of interest, helps get reservations to local restaurants, and helps with any and all issues that you might have. We were there to see the Redwoods and he guided us to some beautiful areas. We also ate at a first class restaurant that he got us into same day. Finally he gave us his own State map to use for our 10 hour drive into southern CA.

Negative: Everything met our expectations. You want to stay here to visit northern CA! Thanks for everything Rodger.

Summary: We had a great time and Turtlerock is a place we would stay again. I recommend it.

Positive: Location, ocean, quiche, and wildlife.

Negative: I didn’t like that my grandparents were cold. Their room was the only room without a stove fireplace (out of 3). The heat was turned off at night or turned down very low and my grandma slept with her jacket on. The next night we took blankets off of our bed and put in their room. They would have stayed in the room upstairs but there wasn’t an elevator and my grandfather couldn’t do stairs very well. Also, the owner seemed a bit grumpy, but I would stay here again without my grandparents.
