A little bit of History:

Turenne's road is located closed to the Palais Gallien and the allées de Tourny. The impressive Palais Gallien, late 2nd century amphitheatre (130 m long, 110 m wide) is the only Gallo-Roman monument still visible in Bordeaux. Houses were built on part of the site in the 18th century. The allées de Tourny are promenades laid out by the Marquis de Tourny. Buildings on the even-numbered side designed by André Portier (1744-1757).

Summary: The apartment was in a perfect location for 1st time visitors to Bordeaux. The apartment was spacious and had all of the amenities advertised. The check in and out persons were on time and very friendly. ( for non French speaking guests, they spoke English)The price was very reasonable; especially compared to hotel. Highly recommended

Summary: Bright & sunny apartment considering the age of the buildings. The gentleman w/ the company overseeing the apt was lovely, & very helpful. Bed was comfortable, but I will say, we had to buy extra pillows & cases, as the square pillows on the bed were not sufficient -at least for us. The sofa was nice looking but uncomfortable, & needs a re-do & a profess cleaning. The kitchen was cute & included a washer/dryer (EXTREMELY rare!) & was lovely to have - although directions for it, maybe taped to the front (in English) would be helpful! There were 2 small garbage bags left - which didn’t fit in the lge, grbg can, so we had to hang them from a drawer handle - & needed to purchase more for our 8-day stay. Also, only 1 roll of toilet paper given. The bathroom was well equipped - yet one bath towel and one hand towel for 8 days was not sufficient. We bought more. Two each per person would have been nice. I know that sounds picky, but we have stayed over 100 nights in similar accommodation & are generally given at least 2 ea.-if staying longer than a couple of days. Now, the shower: It was filthy.There was so much mold, we could hardly see the tiles beneath it. Same for shower curtain. Drain was clogged & the water flowed out of the shower area immediately. (We took many photos, as I didn’t think anyone would believe it.) Our arrival was on Fri, so 1st shower on Sat.& no one avail to fix anything on the weekend. In need of better oversight here, sorry to say.

Summary: A beautifully appointed one bedroom apartment with everything you need for an enjoyable stay in Bordeaux. There is a full size fridge and freezer, washer and even a dishwasher. We could easily walk every where and just 3 minutes to the tram to the tram to the train station. Our plane was felt when we arrived and our host kindly waited for us until we’ll after midnight.

Summary: Very comfortable; kitchen well equipped; convenient to bars, restaurants, shopping, and Center-City sites. A reasonable number of stairs for a second floor apt. Check-in & out was easy and on time. Very Professional. Air Conditioning was cold and all appliances worked. Great stay!

Summary: Immaculately clean, air conditioned, cozy home for two. This apartment is equipped with three terraces, an excellent standing shower, and much much more. Great view of historic Bordeaux streets for lazy mornings and coffee. It is close to plenty of grocery stores, restaurants, and the historic old town. Our only (minor) complaint was that we were charged an extra fee for checking out on a Sunday. This is because the property management company sends someone to greet you for check in / check out, and that staff has to work when you are checking out those days. This fee was not presented in the original HomeAway contract, so it was an unwelcome surprise when we arrived there. Overall, it was a great experience and the apartment is AMAZING and totally worth the price. Would absolutely stay here again.

Summary: In a quiet area we were able to walk everywhere - shopping , sight seeing entertainment and restaurants. The apartment was light and airy with a very comfortable bed. It was very hot while we were there and the air conditioning was great! It was very well appointed how ever we would have liked access to an English speaking television channel . We would highly recommend this apartment to future travellers !
