Positive: I loved everything about this beautiful place! Because of holiday season there was just a 2 room apartment vacant so I felt like a queen. The 2 vedroom apartment is spacious, has 2 bedrooms with each its own bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with water dispenser, a living room with table and chairs and a washing machine, a spacious balcony, aircon and fan. The apartment was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, at night it was quiet and peaceful. The entire villa with several room, a garden and parking space (not sure if it is for customers but guess so) is located in a quiet street close to the main street and has a fence, so it is safe as well. Located about 15min walking from north cliff where all shoppings, cafes and veaches are happening. Or you can take a tuktuk for 1€ and it takes 5min to reach most of the sights, beaches temples&food. The area is very safe, quiet and surrounded by very nice neighbours so I always felt safe as a female solo traveler. I arrived in the middle of the night and was a bit nervous if I can enter the apartment at night. But it just took me a message about my arrival time in advance (they text you via whatsapp a few hours after confirmed booking and you get the exact location and have the option to communicate) and a short call once I arrived. I was welcomed very warmly and felt home right away. The owners are so helpful and very nice. They made my stay even more beautiful and special. I will come back for sure and spend some more time in this place and villa ❤️ thank you, Jeny 🙏🏻

Positive: The hosts Jeny and Sebin were lovely hosts. The apartment had 2 large bedrooms, 2 large ensuite bathrooms and 2 large balconies. We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay in Villa 1, Tropical Villa Homestay. Most of our mornings were spent in the balcony, enjoying our morning tea or breakfast, amongst the almond trees watching the birds, butterflies, school children singing and/or learning their lessons of the day and just generally people going about their day. Sheer bliss!

Negative: Overall, the apartment was lovely and although our stay was comfortable the kitchen was very basic for preparing light meals and it would have nice to have hot water from the shower but we made it work for our one month stay in Villa 1. Also, there was some confusion over payment for the booking. Booking.com took our credit card details for prepayment, the booking confirmation stated "pay at property" and "property does NOT accept cash payment." So when the property hosts asked for cash payment we didn't know what to do as we don't carry that much cash, half the atms in the vicinity were not working, not dispensing cash, weren't accepting foreign debit cards or were closed. We also thought a prepayment had been taken from our credit card so didn't want to go through a long process of getting the payment reimbursed. We reached out to Booking.com via online, email and phone several times but they were not helpful, useless and did not resolve the matter to a satisfactory conclusion. It was a particularly stressful start to our vacation on top of my husband and I not being very well while trying to sort this situation out with Booking.com Booking.com should take the responsibility of resolving issues and not leave it to the host and the guest to sort matters out. It is very unprofessional of Booking.com.
