Positive: We had the luck to end up in this gorgeous place where from the moment we walked in we could feel at home and it has anything you might need. If we could we would have given extra rating but the maximum was 10, which still feel not enough ;) We also had the opportunity to meet Gail, an incredible person who made us feel super welcomed and treated us as part of her family. We wish we had more time to enjoy the peaceful garden and the surroundings. Not sure about the meaning of Tres Corazones but it feels like we enter with two hearts and got out with three ❤️

Negative: The only thing is that the air conditioner makes some noise. Beside that we just loved it!

Positive: The property is beautiful, full of gorgeous plants. Every day I spent time eating or reading out on the patio and enjoying the view and atmosphere. The property has a lovely open air second story seperate to the house that has yoga mats, and some leight weights as well as hammock chairs perfect for morning yoga or relaxing while enjoying the tree canopies. While the house that you rent has an indoor shower and bathroom there is also an outdoor shower and bathroom which is super cute. One of my favorite activities was showering outside at night during the rain, sooo peaceful. The host is absolutely wonderful, so friendly and able to help. I personally loved chatting with her and she knew all of the best local spots to get various groceries, find souvenirs, and attend all sorts of workout classes, yoga classes, etc.(most of which were local prices vs tourist prices) I found her to be excellent company and a great resource. However if having the host be your bestie isn't the vibe for you she is very straightforward and honest, totally the type of person you could just tell "Hi your cool but leave us alone lol" and not only would she not be offended, but do an excellent job of minding her own business. I also really enjoyed the animals on property, there is a dog and 4 cats. The dog is super sweet but also helped me feel safe knowing that dogs discourage any sort of crime on the property and the cats all have their own hilarious personality. It was super fun watching the cats roam around the property doing their thing. Another plus to the location is that it is a short 5 min drive to the beach, which is lovely and it was largely empty giving such a peaceful and almost private feel to the area. Overall the house is beautiful property with unique features located in a small neighborhood giving it a peaceful and local feel.

Negative: There was nothing I strongly disliked this property, it met my needs beautifully, however there are some things that might not be for everyone I wanted to note here. -While the house is equipped with most everything you would need it is small so for some things there isn't a lot of variety. eg. big pan/small pan for cooking. -Oven is a countertop/toaster oven not a large installed one -Local neighborhood means local lifestyle. This is not a walkable neighborhood and you will need to drive to do pretty much everything off property. Owner has an ATV I was allowed to use that was great for going to the beach or the small shops nearby but you would want a car to go even to the nearest big town that has a walkable touristy area(samara, aprox 30 min away) -If you DISlike animals.... might not be the best fit. They do a good job staying with the host most of the time but they are all very sweet and will want to visit with you at least some. The dog Mellie loves everyone and will probably ask for pets and some of the cats are highly food motivated and will probably come check you out if your cooking or eating. Im sure the host would be willing to take them inside where she stays if they are getting too in the way at certain points though. -Since it is a small neighborhood power/water can occasionally go out. I only had the water go out for a brief 20 min during my whole stay but it is a possibility to be aware of. The host however is very well prepared for these things since it is a reality of living in this area so no need to worry too much.

Summary: It was beautiful place to relax and enjoy Costa Rica's beauty.

Positive: Tres Corazones is an absolutely gorgeous stay! I was there for about four days, and spent quite a bit of time in the garden relaxing in the company of colorful trees and birdsong. The house is on the smaller side, but really it's all the space I needed. The kitchen is well-outfitted with appliances and cookware, the bedroom is spacious, the bed comfortable, and the AC rewarding at the end of a warm day. Playa Carrillo is nearby, although a bicycle, ATV, or car may be needed to get there. Having the beach so accessible made it easy to go for a walk by the ocean in the morning and catch beautiful sunsets. Tres Corazones feels remote, but anything you need is still accessible. I was able to get a peaceful break from daily life, and the host, Gail, is very kind and communicative!

Positive: I loved this setup...Gail was not far away if i had questions but I enjoyed privacy, quiet, and relaxation during my stay. The house was well appointed and it was awesome to have the four-wheeler available for quick runs to the corner store or down to Carillo Beach. I also found the outdoor shower and the huge upstairs yoga deck to be delightful! Will definitely return to this unique and peaceful property.

Positive: Wow! I would highly recommend this stay. Gail’s home was a welcoming, comfortable space and her happy personality and care made it extra special. The space is absolutely gorgeous and has all that you need. It has gorgeous wood, a queen and a twin bed in the main house, large fridge, stove, toaster oven, blender, and more. She has a large, private yard with several fruit trees and several hanging seats on the porch, as well as a full lounge area where we spent many happy hours chatting and enjoying the yard. There is also a second-floor deck with a beautiful view and a great place for doing yoga or chatting in the swinging chairs. In the early mornings, you even hear howler monkeys in the trees! (They are not loud.) Gail goes above and beyond to make it a peaceful and pleasant experience for her guests. She is a great communicator and answered all of our questions and even anticipated some of our needs we did not yet know we had. 😊 She has beach towels, a first aid kit, etc. in addition to great linens and pillows and comfy beds. The neighborhood where the house is located is close to Playa Carillo. It has a gate and private access. I took the local bus several times and it was easy if you do not have car transport. In addition to being close to Playa Carrillo, it is close to Playa Samara as well. The beaches are fabulous and so peaceful! Truly unspoiled areas. I can’t wait to go back and get some more of that peace and joy and abundant nature! Thank you, Gail!
