Positive: In short: fantastic stay. But Fonneke&Theo B&B deserves more words. The structure is in the countryside, not far from Ferreira do Alentejo, but it’s an island of cork oaks, palms, figs, orange trees. The nature is lavish. Our room was overlooking the pool, a much needed and refreshing asset of this structure. It was spacious, furnished with taste and perfectly equipped, with a mini-fridge, coffee machine and water. A selection of wines is available for you to taste, maybe on the private veranda right outside the full-wall window. Everything is quiet and lovely here, the only sounds you’ll hear are the sounds of nature. Let’s talk about breakfast: probably the best Ever tried, all prepared dayly by your hosts. See picture. Theo is going to be a great support for your trip, always ready to suggest restaurants, activities and Places to see. A precious and much appreciated help. We left this morning and we miss Fonneke&Theo already!

Negative: Just a warning: there is a lot to see in the Alentejo region, but there’s also a lot to drive. Keep it in mind, but otherwise enjoy this countryside jewel

Positive: My stay with Fonneke & Theo was excellent and exactly what I was looking for - remote, quiet, luxurious, uncomplicated. And thats what I got. I stayed for 2 nights and came back very relaxed. Everything is very well furnished, all around the property you find unique decor and well thought out design features. The room is very spacious and the bed is super comfy. I enjoyed the room service breakfast. As it is very remote, you do need a car, which I had, but for a full day I simply enjoyed the peacefulness, went for a walk and read a book by the pool. I can recommend for singles, couples or young families with small children (they do have a family house for rent).

Positive: First, the hospitality of the owners. They are very kind, they show you their home. Then the orange and lemon trees! At breakfast you are served oranges from that same trees. The breakfast was very good, the room was nice.
