Positive: It's a lovely period house with a super garden. The owner has obviously put in a great deal of thought in to the furnishings. The kitchen is compact but was ideal for the two of us. You have everything you need for your stay. Linen and towels smelt clean and the bathrooms were spotless. The house is in a great location for walking into the main square in Thirsk and has the bonus of parking out front.

Negative: We couldn't work the heating and the fire in the lounge didn't work. I'm guessing that the battery was dead in the remote?

Summary: A great stopover on our journey south.

Positive: Easy walk to the historic centre of Thirsk from a beautifully decorated cottage. A large back garden to relax in at the end of the day was an unexpected bonus. We appreciated the thoughtfulness of the host who went out of her way to make our stay perfect.

Positive: Quirky and very comfortable, not much matched but everything fitted, really well put together property reflecting the houses ages through the years, loved the parrot lamp! spotlessly clean and very comfortable, loved the huge garden with different seating areas which meant you could get the sun regardless of time of day, location great, a few minutes walk into town but far enough away from the hustle and bustle, would we come back again? Absolutely and having an EV charger was great for us x

Positive: Loved the house. Plenty of period features, whilst not feeling old fashioned. Very comfortable throughout inc sofas and bed. Communication from the owner was superb. Off-road parking was a definite bonus and big enough for two cars. Handy for town, which is less than 10mins walk away. The garden out back is very well maintained and really large, and would be great in the summer. Some road noise, but not enough to bother me. Great value for money. Best property we've stayed in for quite a long time.

Positive: Beautiful house with comfortable stylish furnishings. Lots of thoughtful touches to make your stay perfect. Lovely host - communication very good and any queries were answered very quickly. Great location - five mins walk from the centre of Thirsk. Perfect location for the local restaurants and pubs. The property has a beautiful garden - such a shame that our stay was in February and we couldn’t put it to good use! We would love to stay again. Highly recommend.
