Relax and rejuvenate at this unique and tranquil getaway. A lakefront oasis, with the Brazos River across the street. Go fishing in the lake from the backyard dock, or launch a boat into the river at the boat ramp up the street. Roast marshmallows around the fire pit, cook burgers on the gas grill, and enjoy the peaceful view as you dine. Later, enjoy a glass of wine at sunset on the covered deck or on the shaded rockers by the dock. Located just 9.5 miles from the beautiful Granbury town square.
Welcome to the “Cast N’ Cork Casita” oasis on the lake—the newest of the three amazing rentals available at the “Fin-Tastic Retreat.” The casita is equipped with WiFi, and a smart TV that allows you to stream your favorite shows. Go for a cruise in the two-person pedal boat, bring your kayak/canoe to row away on the serene water, or simply relax in the large hammock. As your host, my goal is to ensure you have a wonderful and memorable stay. You have access to all the areas of the property, including the fire pit, and floating dock. Feel free to fish along the property’s lake shoreline and dock, or in the river from the community park pier up the street. Wood for the fire pit is available next to the shed, fire starter blocks and lighters are available in your casita, and marshmallow roasting skewers are on your gas grill. Cornhole boards and bags are available for you to play, as well as a two-person pedal boat for paddling on the calm water.
Off street parking is very convenient in your personal parking spot on the covered driveway. If you wish to bring your boat, trailer parking is available on the oversized covered driveway, or next to the park and boat ramp up the street. A gate code for access to the ramp will be provided upon request.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at this home. The house was beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, which made it feel instantly comfortable and easy to settle into.The owner was incredibly kind and just happened to be staying nearby during the same time we were there. They were very pleasant to visit with and even left out some sweet Valentine’s Day treats for us, which was such a thoughtful touch.Although it rained when we went fishing, we still managed to catch at least one fish before we left, which made the experience even more memorable. Most of all, this trip gave us much-needed alone time as parents of many kids, and it was exactly what our hearts needed.Overall, it was a peaceful, relaxing, and truly wonderful experience. We would absolutely stay here again.

Summary: The drive to this tranquil property when coming from either DFW or Love is a bit of time. There is construction along the freeway route. Best to plan your stop at HEB for amenities and groceries on the way. Once you turn off the winding road approaching the property, it seems a bit like a scene out of Deliverance-The old Movie. We didn’t see anyone playing a banjo on the porch, but would not have been surprised. But do not let that comment deter you from renting this property, because once you reach the end of the street and arrive at this site, it is welcoming and warm, safe and so charming. Everything is wonderful. Tranquil, quiet-too quiet, other than nature. So relaxing. We had opportunity to lie in the hammock, take the peddle boat out on the pond twice, walk in the neighborhood to be greeted by warm friendly people, and just relax on the porch and property. Alan is an excellent host. Attentive to your arrival with detailed instructions to make your check-in and stay wonderful. Communication excellent. Two pieces of advice. Do Not be like Tom Bodett of Motel 6 and leave the light on. If you do there will be a swarm of friendly mosquitos to greet you whence you return at night. Leave outside lights off at night and they are scarce to be found. Secondly, the front door unlock code required entering the code multiple times for the unlock to unlock the deadbolt. It seems each entry of the code partially unlocked. That may be how it functions or maybe needs adjustment

Summary: A very comforting environment inside and out. Will hopefully be booking again. Very clean, quiet, pretty, and the host was very easy to reach and made things simple. Any question was answered quickly. Great little retreat place. :)
