Summary: We were disappointed in the Trails Motel. I was reminded of motels that my family stopped at in the 50's and 60's; while some of the features in the room had been updated there wasn't much change. If we find ourselves in Lone Pine again, we would definitely be looking for somewhere else to stay.

Summary: Room was clean, hotel was small in size, very quaint; beautiful view of the Sierra Mountains. Ideal for a quick stay.

Summary: Very clean room, helpful staff. Hopefully carpets will be replaced with vinal plank floors. Need a few hooks in the bathroom. Bathtub floor is a bit slippery.

Summary: It was fine. My one issue is that they didn't specify the 4% charge for paying by credit card. The front desk clerk only asked how I was paying, cash or card. When I noticed the art was higher than expected I saw a the credit card fee listed only as "adjustment" on the receipt I asked and she only pointed to a sign saying in fine print there was a 4% fee for using a credit card. I am ok with there being a fee, but I am NOT ok with a fee not being explicitly stated. They should verbally indicate the fee. It takes 2 seconds and leaves the customer with a better feeling about the transparency of the transaction. Even better they should offer a discount for paying by cash rather than a fee for paying by credit card (which is doing something the vast majority of people do).

Summary: We got 2 rooms, they were both very clean. We had a heater/air unit but only used the fan so not sure how it worked but I assume fine since the fan on it worked no problem. No fuss room, sparce, but with a mini fridge that is helpful since we had food with us. We have off-grid property about 45 minutes away and so were looking for a place for an overnight stopover. This place was clean and with friendly owners. Nothing luxury about it, but think anyone staying in Lone Pine isn’t looking for that. I would stay here again for sure- cleaner than other places in town.
