Summary: This is a really nice house in a great location. Joanna is great, really helpful , even bringing us local food. Ideal for a young family who want a stay in a quiet town with traditional tavernas and great food. Also boats to hire if you want a trip round the Island

Summary: The property is charming it has everything you need with plenty of space and a lovely shaded seating and eating area which was great to relax in out of the heat. The sea is literally on your doorstep, I achieved my ambition of finding a property that really was close to the sea, the road is not busy so you can just wander across and head into the beautiful clear water. There are a good choice of tavernas within easy reach and the town square offers cocktail bars and shops again all within an easy level walk. Joanna is a wonderful host, she is a fascinating person with lots of local knowledge and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely visit again.

Summary: Already the beginning of our vacation in Kefalonia was very special. Since we traveled without a car, Joanna, the owner, welcomed us already at the port of Poros. As a family of four with correspondingly much luggage, she brought us with her car quite naturally with two trips to the vacation home. The entrance area and the small courtyard with the many plants and flowers, the fruit and drinks that Joanna had already provided for us in the refrigerator, as well as the small, simple, beautifully furnished, very clean traditional house made us feel very comfortable from the first moment. Since we spent our vacations during an extreme heat period in Greece, the sea, which is very close to the house, proved to be doubly nice, since we could cool down at any time. Halfway through our two-week vacation, we received fresh linens as well as towels and the house was cleaned. We really appreciated this service that Joanna offered us free of charge. Joanna is a very friendly, open and communicative hostess who takes great care of her guests. We had many interesting, personal conversations with her, which will remain in our very good and warm memories. If you want to make individual vacations in Greece and are looking for personal contact with the people and the culture, you will feel very comfortable here. We can highly recommend this special house and thank Joanna for the wonderful time we spent here.

Summary: The location is perfect and Joanna was so very helpful and is a lovely person. If we had a problem then she solved it and was always ready to help. She could not have been more friendly. The king-sized bed is extremely comfortable and the property is really well ventilated a almost all the windows have mosquito nets although we came across very few of the little beasties in late September.

Summary: Joanna was an excellent hostess. Very attentive and helpful.She lives next door . The rental property is well equipped and we had welcome fruits. One can walk to many tavernas. It is suitable for couples or friends travelling together I would say not for families with young children We had a lovely time

Summary: The cottage was immaculately clean, very compact but with everything one would need for a peaceful break. Our host, Joanne, is charming and very knowledgeable about Kefallonia . The sea is so near you fall asleep to the gentle lapping of waves.

Summary: This was the holiday that we all needed and the house was perfect for us. The sound of the sea across the road from the house was very soothing along with the occasional goat bells in the morning. It's a perfect spot to watch the sun rise in the morning. The host, Joanna, was very welcoming and extremely helpful. There are several tavernas within walking distance, all of which serve very good food, with large helpings, reasonably priced. Time to diet now. This is the place to go if you want a quiet, relaxing break.

Summary: My wife, myself and adult granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Joanna our host was lovely, providing comfortable holiday accommodation less than a stones throw away from the beach. The location is very flat with nice views out to sea and the hills behind Poros. Joanna provided a wealth of local information and nothing was too much for her to ensure that our stay was a pleasant one. My wife suffered a serious bite whilst out and Joanna could not have been more helpful seeking advice and directing us to the hospital in Argostoly. What was lacking in decor at the hospital was easily surpassed by the treatment received which was first class and also very prompt. The location of the accommodation was ideal for us being a flat walking route into the centre of Poros passing a number of very nice taverna's and restaurants enroute. We had a lovely holiday and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality provided by our host.

Summary: This really was a unique holiday home and just perfect for the three of us to stay the proximity to the beach made it feel like it was exclusive to us. Joanna the owner who lived in the attached property was just lovely and gave us a real insight into the local area and made our holiday really special. The property was comfortable, clean and really easy to live in having everything you could wish for, however during our stay we spent most of our time outside. The gorgeous court yard had lots of plants to add to the ambience too. It was lovely to sit outside in the morning and evening to watch the world go by, listening to lapping sea just a short distance away. Poros had plenty of restaurants, a few bars, supermarket and bakery which were a flat easy walk away. It felt very safe and friendly to walk around day and night. There are plenty of places to visit nearby by either walking, car hire or bus and daily boat trips to different islands. We took a boat trip from Poros to Ithaka which was an all day trip and great fun with several stops in different small villages. It was also extremely good value for money. Two of us even managed to walk up the mountainside behind Poros!!! The beach was lovely but stoney at the waters edge so recommend beach shoes you can hire sunbeds and umbrellas at the far end of the beach but we chose to stay on the part of the beach in front of the house which felt quite exclusive. Overall we found the people of Poros extremely welcoming from the minute we were picked up from the airport by George the local taxi driver until the day we left. The weather was perfect and we were able to truly relax and recharge. Other reviews have said they really don't want everyone to know about this place and to keep it as a secret as its perfect just the way it is.The pace of life slow and just as you imagine life on a Greek island to be. I would definitely recommend this holiday home with the lovely Joanna and I am sure we will be back as there is so much more to do and see and we have only just begun.I have never felt quite so relaxed on holiday before.

Summary: I recently spent a week here with my three friends.The little house was perfectly suited to our needs.The beds were comfy and the kitchen very well equipped.The outside seating area was delightful and we four ladies spent many an evening sharing a bottle( or more )of wine under the vine leaves.Just perfect.There are several tavernas,all within walking distance selling a good variety of fish and excellent Greek food and wine.The pool, 100 metres away was a bonus.Good traditional food served here too.We would swim here and then cross the road for a dip in the sea.Poros is delightful and I would probably return, hopefully in the not too distant future.Beach house may be small but remember, nice things come in small packages!!
