Custom-designed by spa and wellness expert Vivienne O'Keeffe and ideal for self-directed retreats and restful escapes. The cottage is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized for each incoming guest.
The cottage lays serenely in a coastal marine landscape, designed in collaboration with Tofino organic master gardener Kris Simmons. Surrounded by cedar trees, long revered for their spiritual significance and as symbols of strength, visitors can relax on any of the three decks. The grounds of the cottage are ideal for meditation, listening to the distant thunder of the waves, the whisper of wind through the cedars and the joyful sound of birds.
Tofino Hummingbird Cottage is designed to tap into Tofino's unique healing energy. The 1,450 sq.ft. interior features the soothing palette of nature, works by Island artists and a sustainable ethos, from no-VOC paint to beautiful floors of recycled vinyl and sustainable cork, known for its warmth and ability to soften sound.
The living room features a cozy Norweigian JØTUL gas fireplace, sectional sofa and chairs custom-designed for style and comfort. In the kitchen, enjoy preparing and cooking your food on countertops of quartz Caesarstone and a gas stove with a true convection oven. Tofino's local shops allow plentiful access to fresh seafood, organic vegetables and artisanal foods.

Summary: This was an awesome spot! So close to Chesterman beach and a short 5km drvie/run/bike from Tofino. Very clean, very comfortable. All the amenities of home. Highly recommended.

Summary: We were 3 couples visiting Tofino for the first time. We had a fantastic visit. Vivienne was a great host and her place was perfect for us. It was a great location - very close to Chesterman beach. The place was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

Summary: From start to finish of our amazing rejuvenating family vacation Vivienne was nothing but supportive, helpful, kind and a gracious host! The expression of life “it’s all in the little details” is the embodiment of our stay- Vivienne made sure we had everything we needed and just goes above and beyond for our stay! We loved it so much and our kids (11,9 and 5) want to go back next year. We will be sure to book here again!

Summary: A beautifully presented property, with everything you need for your time in Tofino. The home is cozy and spacious and is nestled in a wonderful location steps from the beach and 10 min walk to coffee. Summary: The owner puts a lot of care into this property. The grounds are well taken care of. The inside is immaculately clean, bright, and well stocked with all the comforts of home. It is a very short walk to the beach, or to the Wickaninnish if you crave a fancy dinner or cocktail. Defiantly, a property worth staying at if you are looking for something on Chesterman Beach.
