Positive: Location of property was lovely, quiet and rural away from it all. There were 4 or 5 properties located together on what I’d describe as old farm building conversions. All the neighbours were friendly. The bathroom/ dressing room worked well as the bed was in the main living area. We loved the communal orchard. Property was clean but a little tired

Negative: The property was exactly as described but next time I’d ensure we had a separate bedroom.

Summary: We had a great stay.

Positive: Location very good,. Good access to Torquay, Totnes and Newton Abbot. Good Shower. Kitchen equipment mostly good. Property caretaker very helpful.

Negative: Toilet flush very stiff. Can opener did not work. Cold house even with central heating and can heater.

Positive: I was delighted with Toad Hall. it is situated in a peaceful and private location and the arrangement for check-in was straight forward. On arrival the cottage had been warmed by the log burner which felt homely, welcoming and gave off a pleasant smell. The art work in the main part of the building added to the cosy feel which made lovely viewing before bedtime, instead of counting sheep. The accommodation was super clean and very comfortable, with all the facilities necessary for a self-catering stay. The host was friendly and available by phone to address any issues. The information provided online was just as described and I would definitely stay there again.

Negative: Be prepared to navigate country lanes that could be tricky in poor weather. Mobile network poor so watsap was a good alternative as WiFi worked well. The above was no sacrifice and didn't affect my stay too much.

Positive: EVERYTHING! I am so sad to have left it was the best holiday I've ever had, the first with my partner. It was so peaceful and out in nature, incredible views. The selection of DVDs was incredible, and staff was amazing, quick to resolve any issues or queries. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom facilities. Provision of blankets to go and sit in the orchard was absolutely adorable Also the artwork on the ceiling of all the birds n things was so cool I loved it and I wish I could live there, but I'll settle for just returning for a future holiday

Negative: The hot water broke but staff were on it as soon as I let them know, fixed the day after being informed

Positive: My wife cooks an excellent breakfast.

Negative: I think that the cottage had been empty for a time, so was a bit damp - but then it constantly rained which didnt help.. We didn't put heating on but it was quite a cosy cottage - certainly stay there again if I wanted to get away in Devon.

Positive: Very nice location with plenty of public paths for exercising the dog. Very peaceful. Interesting cottage with a charming painted mural ceiling. Good parking.

Summary: Very pleasant stay. Shame the weather was wet.

Positive: We had a lovely stay. I enjoyed the art work which was all of a style - naive/folk art-it was in-keeping with the setting - birds, butterflies, flowers ect and professionally done. Enjoyed the log-burner which made up for some bad weather. The owner was very helpful and that was much appreciated, eg, when I left a bag behind. It was all handled very smoothly and I was happy to have it back through the post in a few days

Negative: They may need signs as to using electric shower - don't switch it off during the shower as it disrupts the temperature! The artwork, orchard, log burner ect made up for minor things ie, the rather bland gavel & pot plants imidiatly outside the back door.

Summary: Very enjoyable and relaxing
