Positive: Very clean room and swimming pool.Good food for dinner and fresh omlet for breakfast.Lamin (owner) can you pick up from airport for 20 euro and drop you back any time, just contact him.Very kind stuff :cleaner,security guy, kitchen chefs.Fridge with cold beer available any time.(150dalasi)

Positive: comfortable lodge, great rooms with nice outdoor seating. Good bed, bathroom with hot water. Clean swimming pool. Good breakfast included. You can order dinner, very tasty local options.
Negative: Wifi was slow, but with eSim worked well.

Positive: The accommodation is amazing. Lamin, Jeanette and their team (Buba, Linda and Sabina) made us feel so welcome. It felt very safe and also welcoming. The team all looked after us really well and we felt part of the family. We want to thank Lamin, Jeanette and Buba, Linda and Sabina for making our stay at Tinjala Lodge so special and a trip we will remember for ever. They all made sure our stay was perfect. The lodge is beautiful and lives up to the pictures, in fact it's better than the pictures. Each morning we had a delicious breakfast. Buba and Linda keep the pool and pool area really clean. The rooms are beautiful too. The lodge is only a short walk to the main coast road where there are some small shops and many taxis (although we travelled mainly in the local "Gele Gele" mini buses). It's so peaceful at night and in the mornings with bird sounds. We also visited Lamin's other Lodge by the river, about 15 mins drive from Tinjala. We felt like family and well looked after. If you want a great base to explore all over the Gambia, this is it.
Negative: There was nothing we didn't like.

Positive: The friendly helpfulness of Lamin and Jeanette and their staff. Lamin kindly took us to his riverside lodge one morning for birdwatching. The beautiful compound with lovely palms, flowers and artistic decoration. Meals were delicious and beautifully presented. Lamin and Jeanette were also very flexible when we needed to leave early etc. We liked the location which was quiet and away from the main tourist area. We enjoyed the 15 minute walk to the beach and meeting local people. Local buses or taxis are very cheap and easy to find .
Summary: A beautiful oasis with a kind and friendly welcome. A great base from which to get to know Gambia.

Positive: This is probably the best accommodation we've ever had. As soon as you enter the gate you step into a little piece of paradise created by Lamin and his wife Janette. Not only the accommodation itself but also - or maybe even mainly due to - the excellent hosting made this a holiday we'll never forget. Due to the small scale you really get to know them and for the time we spent in Gambia they really made this feel like our home. Lamin is a great guide who knows all the best places to visit, from beaches to local markets and restaurants. Next to that he is, and the same goes for Janette, an excellent cook who made us various local dishes which were all great! Last but not least we have to mention the friendly staff who are doing an excellent job of keeping the place in perfect shape and making the guests feel comfortable. Thank you again for making this holiday one of the best experiences we've ever had! Highly recommended!
Negative: Because of the more quiet location and not at the Senegambia Strip where all the tourists are, which was actually a big plus for us, you need some sort of transportation to visit restaurants etc. Lamin offers transportation and also knows local taxi drivers. For us this wasn't a problem since there is always someone available, but something to keep in mind.
