This sweet little house has an open floor plan with a sleeping loft and beautiful views looking southwest over Cayuga Lake. Decks on two sides of the house lead to a “flight” of four decks below the house. The kitchen has a small refrigerator, induction burners, small oven, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, and lots of cooking utensils and dishware. The bathroom has a claw-foot tub. On the decks, a gas grill and plenty of chairs and picnic tables for relaxing and entertaining.
Ideal for two, but can sleep four to six: queen mattress in loft, fold-out sofa bed, couch, and camping out in tents on the decks under large shade trees or on the double mattress in the boat house.
Not handicapped accessible: 28 gentle stone steps from the road down to the house, 3 to 6 steps between the decks, steep stairs down to the dock, boat house, and pebble beach, and in the house, a library ladder up to the sleeping loft.

Summary: This is a beautiful, peaceful get away. We have been staying at Nancy’s cabin for three years and it has always been a wonderful vacation. The Lake and property are amazing. It is a great escape from the maddening crowd.

Summary: A really charming cottage. Everything you could possibly need is already there. The kitchen was fully equipped and the outdoor grill was wonderful. There were plenty of towels and extra bedding. The loft was fun and the bed was comfy. There was a little private beach area and a dock and boathouse. Two kayaks and a paddle board too! The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. Lots of stairs, but we knew that, so not a problem. We had a great stay. We would definitely recommend it and we would love to come back.

Summary: Outdoor decks and private lake access make this adorable cabin a true gem. The cabin is just beautiful. We had everything we needed, but if the weather is exceedingly hot, you will need to go for a swim, or drive to one of the countless attractions in the region for relief. Nancy provided gallons of bottled water, and several electric fans, which we really appreciated! WiFi worked great. FYI, there are many stairs, inside and out. After the cooling rain, we wanted to spend all day in the cabin-it was so peaceful. But there is SO MUCH to enjoy in F.L.X!! Would love to stay here again.

Summary: We wanted a quiet getaway without the kids, and this definitely gave us what we wanted. It unfortunately rained 3 of the 4 days were there, but even with the rain, it was beautiful and quiet and just serene. The steps down to the cabin were not forgiving so you have to really take your time going up and down when they are damp. The steps going down to the doc and boat house were extremely steep and daunting when you first see them. But they do get easier the more you use them. Another tip that I would have liked to know before going is bring your own drinking water. there are jugs supplied to use for drinking and cooking but I think they are jugs that are refilled from owners home. which is fine, but I am a water snob, so I went to buy my own water. We loved the cabin and the area and everything that was included, Nancy is a great host and very informative and just seems to be a kind person. We will hopefully be back one day to stay again, with hopefully less rain!

Summary: It was exactly what we expected, cozy and at home with a georgous lake view. It has been rain during our stay, but a blue sky came back shortly after the graduation at the cabin. Almost everything was equipped in the kitchen. We loke cooking. A bandage was helpful. We enjoyed BBQ.
