Negative: It says the location is 4.5km from Jebel Shams... now that probably is the straight line distance.. but actually it's a good 3 hours of off roading.. not something we were ready for.. Booking.com needs to get it's act together on such things..

Positive: Incredibly serene place surrounded by beautiful mountainview. Our room was very clean and we felt comfortable from the start. Staff (2 Nepali guys) was friendly and eager to help with all requests. Food was one of the best we had in Oman. We loved our 4hr-hike (combination of Al Seer & Wadi) which took us through breathtaking mountain landscapes, palm trees and to a small village and finally back through a wadi with celeste water ponds. The pool area is super nice too! Perfect spot to unwind!

Negative: At night the room was really hot since the rock is exposed to the sun all day and works like a stone oven. You’ve got AC and fan to remedy that though. Sitting at the group table for both, dinner and breakfast, felt like a bit too much. You could feel that some people were slightly uncomfortable. It would be advisable to add some more table options so that you can sit in private if you prefer! The 2nd and 3rd day we were lucky to be the only guests here.

Positive: Beautiful location in the middle of the mountains. Fantastic swimming pool. Upon arrangement they prepare a good dinner. No restaurants nearby. Better to have a 4x4 to reach the accommodation.

Negative: Nowadays we need internet for everything, WiFi connection would be a good thing.

Positive: A great property—close enough to the village for convenience, yet wonderfully secluded in the mountains. The night sky is breathtaking, and the property itself is charming and impeccably maintained. I do not hesitate to recommend.

Negative: There is nothing i didn't like but be aware that it is a little remote, do not expect to go out at night for dinner or activities. Enjoy the quiet of the place!

Positive: Location, location, location. Small hotel nestled against the side of a mountain with a wonderful view of the East flank of Jebel Shams, which towers some 2.000 meter over the valley. We stayed in the one hotel room that is cut into the mountain, which is kind of cute, but ultimately does not offer any advantages over the more traditional rooms that have a better view. Lovely pool that is just about big enough to get in a few strokes, and provides a welcome reprieve from the heat in summer time. Many kudos to Rossan, who singlehandedly ran the place and effectively as well as pleasantly fulfilled his role as receptionist, guard, gardener, pool boy and master chef (and probably a few more roles we missed out on). He made our two day stay even more enjoyable.

Negative: Communication about dinner was ineffective as questions about this were sent from a ‘no reply’ booking.com address, and another address that was provided did not yield a response. Luckily Rossan was flexible about it and did manage to cook up a perfectly adequate dinner for us. But this aspect needs improvement.

Positive: In the middle of the mountain! With nothing but us

Negative: The door has 1cm of open space so the warm water in summer came in and we had to use AC 24/7. That was very uncomfortable because the room was heating itself all the time. The view from the room was not great.. the hotel is not constructed at its potential . There are a lot of inefficient . Don’t take the family room where we stayed
