Positive: The property is cute, set about 45mim drive north from the main road between Ibri and Nizwa. It is the beginning of the mountain range well suited for onward travel to Jebel Akhdar. We liked the people at the guest house. They were friendly and served us Chai upon arrival and helped with the luggage to the cabin. The area is great for star gazing.

Negative: We had booked a quadruple room but they had gotten it wrong in their own system so we were given a room with a king and 1 Child bed instead of the bunk bed quad room. But they were apologetic and helped add an additional child bed to our room and refunded the difference between the rooms. No problem. We had booked our stay including breakfast. Due to lost in translation we didn’t understand that there was a 6 Omani real ceiling on our spend for the breakfast in the restaurant. No problem but probably would be a good idea to have a sign or a piece of paper making this clear to the guest. Also finally in January it gets cold at night. There is no heater in the room but when we asked management they gave us a small electronic heater. It helped but it was still cold at night. Also because it is cold the swimming pool is not really usable this time of year. All in all, we enjoyed the stay and remember that it is located on the side of a hill so you can’t always get everything.

Positive: Beautiful location overlooking the mountains. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful people. They helped us with last minute bookings and dinner for a big group. Simple, but clean accommodation.

Negative: The bathroom is very small and the shower area is even smaller. Hardly any water pressure and water was not warm enough. Being high up in the mountains (cold!) you would want a hot shower.

Negative: - wet bathroom style - super small bathroom with no shower curtain or walls which leaves a wet floor with no way to dry it (no squidgee etc)

Positive: The staff were lovely and the food for both dinner and breakfast was tasty. The rooms are well designed and the beds were very comfy.

Negative: The shower only had hot water for about 45 seconds per round. More hot water, please! The site is still new and still some parts to be finished. We arrived in heavy rain and there were small leaks in several of the rooms, and although these did not cause major issues, it suggests there are still a few teething issues to solve.
