Summary: We loved the room, with its rustic decor and cold AC. It was quiet and off the beaten path. The breakfast was a separate charge, but was delicious. We stopped for 1 night, on our way to another destination. After seeing the area, I wish we had stayed another day and taken the tour of the area.

Summary: Comfortable Stay with a Touch of Nostalgia It had been over 15 years since we last visited Chinle, Arizona, and returning was both familiar and unfamiliar. Some businesses have closed, others are new, and some are still under construction. From the moment we arrived at Thunderbird Lodge, I felt welcomed. The brick buildings immediately reminded me of my great-great-grandmother's brick home, bringing back warm childhood memories and giving the property a comforting, home-like feeling. Check-in was quick, easy, and friendly. There was plenty of parking, including RV parking, and the grounds are spacious enough for a relaxing walk. The property also has a cafeteria and gift shop, although both have limited hours, so it's worth planning ahead. Our room was clean, comfortable, and the perfect size for our stay. It included a microwave, small refrigerator, dining table, coffee maker, and even real coffee cups, which was a nice touch. The room had everything we needed to settle in and relax. The only thing to note is that the rooms use wall-mounted air conditioning units instead of central air. They cool the room well but can be a bit noisy, so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs. If you're looking for a modern luxury resort, this isn't that—and it doesn't try to be. Thunderbird Lodge offers something different: comfort, hospitality, history, and a genuine connection to the beauty and culture of Chinle. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return on our next visit.

Summary: Room was clean and property was also very clean staff was helpful even thought it was late 4th of July. Asked how our day was and made us feel very welcomed. Will definitely stay again. Also very quite and peaceful

Summary: If it’s a quick stay it’s okay. But everything’s old. Old carpet. Old walls. Old beds. Old tables and chairs. But clean. TV was the only thing up to date besides the bathroom.
