Positive: We loved our stay and wish we could have stayed much longer. The building is beautiful and has been very well maintained the staff are simply wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. What a lovely experience we had.

Positive: Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were so friendly, professional and couldn't have been more helpful. We were even personally taken to our room by the lady on reception. The views were phenomenal. We were celebrating my husbands 60th birthday. He loves history and to find out our Suite was built into the Fortified walls of the City just blew him away. The breakfast was amazing as were the views from the terrace. To be staying within the city and to visit at night after the tourists had left was just an amazing experience. We stayed in 3 hotels during our holiday to Malta and this was by far the highlight of our trip. Would highly recommend

Positive: The staff were excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. The hotel and rooms were fabulous. The trattoria was excellent and good value for money The free beers and soft drinks in the minibar were an unexpected bonus

Negative: Breakfast was rather slow and not as efficient as the rest of the hotel although the food was vary good. The Mondion restaurant was typically Michelin star - vastly expensive and over staffed, although the quality of the food was as one would expect. With 7 staff serving about 25 guests, you hardly had a moment of peace to enjoy the food. Good food is supposed to speak for itself, it should not need a full running commentary for each course.

Summary: A lovely hotel on a fabulous setting.
