Summary: Due to the state of our room - it was filthy, the bins were not emptied and the bed had not been made properly; I complained to reception. The receptionis came to check what it was like, and then a member of the housekeeping staff was sent to check. Everyone agreed that the room was in a terrible state. I was then offered a replacement room, opposite the one I had been allocated. This room was equally as bad, so I decided I would not risk the option of a third room, and checked out. I had booked the room via Hotels.com and approached them about a refund. The hotel did not quibble (showing that what I am writing is correct), I got all of my money back. I am not saying this is a bad hotel; the staff were very friendly, and it is in a lovely position. I do feel they should sack the cleaning staff, to save the reputation of the hotel.

Summary: Enjoyed the spar when we arrived. Had a nice afternoon drink in the grounds. Busy with bee’s around us and was a bit nervous with the amount of bees. But apart from that had a lovely time spent with family at the hotel. Everything was clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee in the room and tv.

Summary: Fabulous location and beautiful views. This hotel is only a 15 minute walk into Llangollen. The staff were amazing and Melanie and the new girl Jody showed us the beautiful penthouse suite which is out of this world. We look forward to returning very soon.

Summary: Had a lovely stay at the Wild Pheasant when attending a concert in Llangollen Pavillion. It's about 10 minutes walk into Llangollen and about the same to the Pavillion. All staff encountered were really friendly and helpful. Room was lovely, clean and spacious. More available electric sockets in room would have been good Had a meal from the Glasshouse in the afternoon and it was excellent. Breakfast was great. Would recommend.

Summary: Lovely hotel with excellent staff. Room was a little tired, but we did have a great outdoor space, being on the ground floor, although laundry next to the bedroom wasn't ideal when they delivered in the morning. Convenient for the town, and the hotel bar/bistro was a great space.

Summary: The staff and service was really good here and it’s a really pretty hotel but could do with investing in air conditioning as it was so hot. Reception were very lovely and found me a second fan and it was fine but air con would be a very good investment. The spa was nice but again could do with a little investment with some rusty patches here and there. The head rub was a little strange, but overall the stay was very good, the staff were lovely and I’d stay again, but perhaps not on a very hot day. Breakfast was also lovely but we were on the later entry and so there were no pastries left or watermelon, it was fine and the main event was delicious but just a note.

Summary: The hotel itself is beautiful and our room was lovely. The shower in the ensuite was really powerful which was a great surprise. Excellent walking distance into town as well, especially lovely along the canal path.
