Positive: The acconadation is superb well equipped kitchen area microwave cooker toaster kettle and all cooking utensils also a fridge with freezer compartment. Good sized bedroom with hangers and drawers good bathroom with nice shower.When you enter there is a tv and electric wood burner effect fire sofa and a hair Outside there is parking for one car only but you can park on the road also.

Positive: Bijou apartment set in the beautiful Denby dale, within walking distance of all facilities and beautiful walks right on your doorstep. Spotlessly clean, well thought through and tastefully decorated. The host had left milk, tea & coffee which after our drive was welcome. Lots of local routes, and info provided, and the host was efficient and friendly and had provided a comfortable and welcoming space. Bed was very comfy, and kitchen was well provided, and for a short break it was a sweet little place to stay.

Negative: The bedroom had no door, and was open plan to the living room and kitchen. So as not all couples go to bed at the same time, it meant that sleeper was disturbed by the night owl watching tv/reading, making drinks etc. It also meant that cooking smells drifted into the bedroom and clothing hung up there. A heavy duty curtain would certainly help, as there really is little room for a door, so I understand their rationale. Also there is no overhead lighting in the kitchen, we took a lamp from the lounge area to add some needed additional lighting. Some plug in LEDs over the hob, would be an easy fix. Also as the sofa is quite small and upright, you want to put your feet up for comfort, so a footstool would really help. No control over the radiators , so the towel rail in the bathroom was off permanently which we needed to dry the towels (just one bath towel each for a 3 day stay) and the radiator in the bedroom came on briefly once. The fire in the living room is electric, so we used this to warm the flat, but it’s not the most environmentally efficient method. The bathroom remained damp without the door left open onto the bedroom, as the fan is underpowered for the shower room, so lots of condensation build up on the bedroom window after 2 adults showering, we opened the window to aid ventilation.

Positive: The vestry had everything we could want for a short stay, it's decorated to a high standard and has a lovely cosy feeling. we would definitely stay again.

Negative: If we are being picky (because it was lovely) the parking is very tight and although it was always cosy we didn't see any way we could control the heating independently (apologies to the owners if we missed it).
