Positive: This community owned inn and pub is the only accommodation in Morebattle, a lovely village between Harestanes and Yetholm on St Cuthbert's Way. It is reasonably priced with large clean rooms, and a good breakfast. We arrived on a Sunday, just at the end of the Sunday roast lunch and it was a great meal, generous portions. Lovely and helpful staff and a beautiful setting, wonderful views. I would recommend it for those travelling by car as well, it's a quiet and restful place to stay.

Positive: The Templehall is a community ran pub with rooms above. All the staff we met were friendly and attentive. The meals we had on the evening and breakfast were reasonably priced and delicious. The room was a good size and comfortable, and clearly recently refurbished.

Negative: The WiFi was not ideal, but it is a rural village and it is clear improvements are ongoing. The room is over the bar, so could hear noise, but it was a Saturday night and was done by a reasonable time. The towels were small for us, and it would be beneficial for a shelf or storage options in the shower.
