Positive: Excellent staff and very friendly. Rooms were well presented with everything needed for an overnight stay. Outdoor space at each room was excellent, especially as we had good weather and were able to make full use of it. Food was excellent for both dinner and breakfast.

Negative: Very minor observation was the black discolouration of the silicon seal on the shower tray.

Summary: Excellent facilities in room, garden and restaurant/bar.well worth a visit

Positive: This is a hidden gem, the staff were so friendly. The room was perfect and clean. Well decorated with the extra bonus of outdoor space. The little touches of a dog basket with bowls and blankets was so cute

Positive: Very nice rooms but a bit small for people with cases. Lovely hosts, great food in the pub. Cooked breakfast with a huge range to choose from. Setting of hotel unique, lovely views and very peaceful and quiet.

Negative: The rooms are quite small and there was no storage room in the bathroom. In order to get fresh air you have to leave the window (= door/entrance to room) open. Also, the rooms could do with a good dusting and an occasional removal of spider webs 😉…

Positive: We loved our stay at the Star Inn. It's a lovely pub in a beautiful location - the rooms, the service and the food were all excellent. We live in Northumberland but stayed here for a short break and will definitely be back :) The staff were very friendly, so helpful and the breakfast was great too.

Positive: We loved the comfortable, spacious room with great sized- ensuite and secure, tidy patio for us and the dog to relax. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and both the breakfasts and dinners were superb!
