The Stables is an independent converted stable building set in two acres of private grounds, close to the River Célé and having been completely renovated to the highest of standards by artisans and offers all modern comforts whilst retaining the traditional French style.
The ground floor, 101 sq.m, is an open plan arrangement providing space and comfort, with large kitchen, dining area for eight, and generous sitting room. There is a separate small TV area with Humax satellite system to provide for separate entertainment. There is also a downstairs cloakroom.
The first floor,101 sq.m, is accessed by a staircase from the ground floor hallway area, and provides for a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, double bedroom, and two further twin bedrooms served by a family bathroom with shower and bath. There is also a utility room with washing machine/dryer.
There are overhead fans to all bedrooms and sitting room, fast broadband throughout, and full central heating in the cooler months.
The finishes throughout are of high quality and attention to detail is ensured.
Externally, there is a large covered dining terrace with table and seating for 8 people. Beside is a BBQ area. Within the two-acre grounds there is a private swimming pool 10m x 5m with surrounding terrace and sun loungers and parasols. The grounds have mature trees and provides extensive shaded grounds.
Within view of the Céle River, known for trout and perch fishing, it is also easily accessible for a number of river side activities including kayaking and canoeing, or just peaceful picnics.
Just 5 minutes’ walk down the lane to the popular ‘La Belle Époque’ restaurant and conveniently close, to the beautiful medieval town of Figeac, with its bustling Saturday market and delightful shops and restaurants. Famous for its association with the Egyptologist Jean Francois Champollion, (who published the first translation of the Rosetta stone hieroglyphs in the 19th century) Figeac offers everything you need to experience a traditional French town.
Very conveniently located for easy access to many tourist spots, activities and places of interest such as Rocamadour, Gouffre de Padirac, Cahors, and St Cirq-Lapopie and is an ideal base for visiting the Lot, Dordogne and Célé river valleys for a choice of many activities.

Summary: We had wonderful 10 days at The Stables. The property itself is beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A fantastic outside space, a great pool and many hours were spent in the outside covered dining area, cool in the summer heat with beautiful views all around. We loved the peace & quiet, and the fantastic walks in the surrounding countryside. A short drive to Figeac town centre with many excellent restaurants, and a great base for exploring the delights of this region of France. The owner and manager were always helpful and responsive, and made sure we had a great holiday.

Summary: The property is absolutely gorgeous and was everything we could have wanted in a holiday home. The interior and furnishings were of an excellent quality and felt very luxurious. The location of the property is ideal for those who want to get away from it all, and although there are other properties nearby it never felt like our privacy was being invaded.
