Positive: Breakfasts were amazing - a wonderful buffet and choice of cooked dishes. Very generous portions and our hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home . Exceptional service . Room was very comfortable and well equipped . Great location. Hosts were very helpful in guiding us on places to eat and visit.

Negative: The shower was adequate - lovely and hot but not very powerful. The fridge for the fresh milk ( which was a nice touch compared to uht) was at the bottom of the stairs rather than in the room so we had to go up and down each time we made a hot drink.

Summary: A lovely B and B in a great location. Our hosts were very friendly and we'd definitely stay again

Positive: When we arrived early we were preparing to come back when Mick greeted us.He had been pruning the grapevine in the breakfast room and informed us that our room was ready and that we could check in.We felt at home immediately,he's an excellent host and his wife Penny an excellent hostess as well as cook.Their breakfast is as good as it gets,if not better.So if you find yourself in The Barnstaple area and need a place to stay,look no further,The Spinney doesn't disappoint.Thanks again Mick & Penny for a memorable stay.
