Positive: Lovely warm and beautifully decorated cottage in a quiet location. We stayed with our two young children and enjoyed getting out and enjoying the beautiful nearby scenery. Lots of helpful information on the local area from the hosts.

Negative: It was lovely, the double bed was smaller than what we're used to but still fine!

Positive: A lovely cosy new property with everything that you need in a lovely area of exploring the Dales and Harrogate. Nice little touches like toiletries and tea/coffee/biscuits and condiments that make a big difference. Netflix and fire made ready to go. Making it home from home.

Negative: The host couldn’t have been more helpful when we had an issue with EV charger. The Smithy only has an outdoor power socket for trickle charging rather than a proper EV charger as the description suggested. I selected the property based on this rather than similar properties that were cheaper but without a charger. The host went above and beyond to make up for this misunderstanding, offering solutions, dropping off additional wood for the fire and checking we were ok, even arranging postage for an item we left behind. Cannot fault the host who really wants her guests to enjoy themselves.

Positive: Lovely little place to stay in the Nidderdale countryside. Lots of walks close by, with 2 great village pubs, one with walking distance the other 5 minutes by car. The property was new and felt really clean and comfortable. The property is ideal for a couple looking for a convenient place to stay in the heart of beautiful Nidderdale countryside. Well equipped with everything you need to cater for yourself but Pateley Bridge is about 10 minutes by car where there are takeaways and a few restaurants. We did have a small issue with the shower which was quickly resolved by the owner who was easily contactable.
