Summary: Superb location beside the canal. Conservatory restaurant overlooking beautiful hillside and the canal and serving full selection of food at moderate price. Lovely evening meal. Breakfast was excellent. Relaxing lounge with entertainment very much enjoyed. Room was very small and in need of an upgrade but we understand this is ongoing. A box of tissues would have been a useful extra. Bed very comfortable and room quiet. Staff all very hardworking and skilled at their job. A very enjoyable night’s stay.

Summary: On arrival we found that the walk in shower shown on the Web site it shows this and doesnt inform you that its not standard. As a disabled traveller I couldnt climb over the side of the bath. We had to ask for something which I could use. Eventually we got a room which had a large walk in shower and a seat for a disabled person. Not ideal but better than a bath/shower. We.foumd rhe room decor very dated and spotted silver fish on the floor. We heard many people complaining about.meals being wrong, the wrong sauces, wrong drinks. Some of the staff were so slow and looked really unhappy. Only one lift working. I stood for 9 mins today, in agony by the end, waiting for a lift. The food was very expensive and again we heard people moaning. 2 pints of German lager £15.50 ridiculous! Positives. Manageress was mega helpful. Breakfast food and restaurant manager were excellent. Great sausages bacon, cereal, coffee etc and well organised. Ideally situated for Skipton. Great for canal walks. Fantastic Indian restaurant now next door. Place needs an investment for room improvements. Overall decor needs updating. Just tired and not cheap!

Summary: Our 1 night stay was fine ...a very warm night and the hotel had a sepperate electric fan in the room... the a/c was not working at all so this fan was a life saver ! The breakfast was lovely and we used the pool which was also enjoyable but small things like plastic bags to take your wet swim costumes is a simple addition .. overall a nice stay in a hotel that needs an upgrade 😌

Summary: As we arrived the reception staff were very helpful. Family room was spacious and clean. Nice location by the canal and a short walk in to the town of Skipton. Evening entertainment was very good and the bar was very nice. If we're ever up there again we'd definitely stay again.

Summary: Excellent hotel, food well recommended but steer clear of the 5th floor room 508, unless over 6ft tall cannot open or close the ceiling windows, very high steps to the room and very noisy with wind noise round the end of the building. Still was a lovely stay and a different room would have been delightful. Will visit again.

Summary: When we arrived we were checked in by a very pleasant lady who made everything clear and simple We entered our room and the room was very spacious and clean after unpacking we headed for the bar which was very nice too and the bar staff were very friendly and polite all in all we had a great overnight stay
