Positive: Excellent view over the severn from a lovely terrace. Our room also overlooked the estuary and was spacious, well furnished with a big bed which was very comfortable.

Negative: None EVs parked in the charging bays. Common problem and should be managed by the hotels.

Summary: Excellent pub with rooms with views across the severn estuary and next to the attractive Marina

Positive: Lovely location, very friendly staff and great place to eat with very nice food. Great building, loved the bar down towards the Severn, a hidden gem! There were four EV charging stations out the front which is super handy. All in all I thought it was a great place and would definitely recommend for those travelling to or through Portishead.

Negative: The room was rather small and a little stuffy and hot at night with the bed clothing but to be fair obviously it’s a very old building and they’re doing their best to convert a lot of different spaces into something suitable for 10 rooms plus pub plus etc

Positive: The room was beautifully decorated, with quirky lamps and we liked the colour scheme, felt very inviting. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty I enjoyed the Farmers breakfast (which made nice change) & the eggs Benedict.

Negative: In the en-suite the toilet seat needs replacing with one that fits correctly and doesn’t slide around

Summary: Very enjoyable stay and would recommend, will be returning.

Positive: Fantastic room, beautiful building and grounds,very friendly, polite and helpful staff, great food. Superb!

Negative: No parking on arrival (and I have a blue badge, so parking up the road and walking wasn't an option) - had to go back into town to get a drink. I think this was due to a busy lunchtime service. I did get a disabled parking bay on our return, though.
