Positive: What is there not to like about this place! It is a little gem hidden in the Herefordshire countryside. It is clean, comfortable, cosy and has every single amenity we needed! The food basket was a lovely welcome, as was the in person welcome by Ali, who kindly waited up for us to arrive.

Negative: Absolutely nothing! It was wonderful!

The surroundings are simply magical, with lush greenery and a serene atmosphere that made our stay incredibly relaxing. The host was absolutely fantastic — very welcoming and thoughtful. She provided us with all the basic essentials we needed, and we were greeted with a lovely welcome basket that made us feel right at home. Positive: The Retreat is an a truly amazing location with breathtaking and endless views of the surrounding countryside. It is characterful, clean and comfortable where every single detail has been carefully thought about. We didn’t miss anything from home. Thank you, Ali. :) We very much appreciated the welcome pack of essential items and the fresh fruit basket! Our children made friends with Ali’s adorable dogs and there was a lots of play in the garden which was one of the highlights of our stay. We all enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere including the sheep grazing on the neighbouring hills and the nesting skylarks and house martins. There was plenty of things to do and explore for a week’s stay only a short walk or drive away.
