Positive: Barn Owls Rest is a wonderful holiday home. It is just as you see in the pictures, but better! We have never been to a better equipped, cleaner or more comfortable holiday rental anywhere. The hosts, Anne and Kev are friendly and welcoming and have thought of and supplied absolutely everything you might need. There was a very generous welcome hamper and a lovely homemade cake, they really have gone above and beyond expectations. The location is handy for Hay on Wye, it's about a 5/10 minute drive - close enough that fish and chips are still hot when you get them home! It's a lovely area with plenty to see and do and the view from the upstairs lounge is fabulous. We would come back here anytime. Thanks Anne and Kev, you do a great job

Positive: Where do we start? From the moment we arrived we were amazed at the thought, attention to detail, love and generosity that Anne and Kevin have put into Barn Owl's Nest. The house is really well designed, warm, light, airy and comfortable. Then there was the plethora of little extras that greeted us when we arrived. It was so truly generous and above and beyond. Anne even made us a vegan lemon drizzle cake, which was truly amazing. The house is a perfect distance from Hay on Wye (which as bookies was our main reason for choosing this area for a winter birthday break) as it is peacefully sat on the side of the hillside with a lovely view from the upstairs living room. I very much enjoyed the more peaceful birdwatching of the nuthatches and the willow tits (used to squawking seagulls most of the time at home!). Everything you could think of was at Barn Owl's Nest, and we will certainly be visiting again. It has to be one of the best places we have stayed, and we felt so comfortable there, we almost moved in! ;)

Summary: Such an amazing place, and such thoughtful hosts. We will be back!
