Positive: Staff were excellent. Food was of very high standard. Room was large.

Negative: To be expected staying above a bar was noisy until bar closed. Could hear people in other rooms but as mentioned was expected and didn't impact our stay. Food was expensive but we felt worth the quality.

Positive: We love the breakfast, it was nice presentation and yummy. I had Smoke Salmon and toasted white bread. My husband had egg benedicts and he also like it. The room was cozy and clean and when we feel the room was too cold, the staff provided us with the mobile radiator which worked well.

Negative: The dinner wasn't that great especially the roast beef, it was too hard. The Yorkshire pudding was also too dry and cold. The side dishes were good though. The heated towel rail wasn't working so that's a bit disappointing.

Summary: It was a great stay despites some disappointments.

Positive: Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Dinner and breakfast we enjoyed. Location was convenient for us since we had a relatively long drive from south wales and it was close enough to Folkstone to take the Shuttle train in the morning.

Negative: In our room the bathroom, although functional was rather basic with a bath but no shower possible. It was also quite compact.
