Summary: I stayed for one night whilst travelling for a mixture of business and pleasure. It had been a long hot day so it was a pleasure to step into the cool of this lovely old inn. The welcome was warm and friendly and in fact I think the friendliness of the staff is my standout reason to stay. The room was simply furnished but spacious and comfortable and importantly cool with a fan provided. I ate dinner and breakfast there both were tasty and served with a smile and friendly chat. Thanks to everyone.

Summary: Located in the lovely town of West Haddon which provided a great area to walk around. I base the majority of my critique on 3 main factors which are:- shower, night's sleep and breakfast with only 1 of these 3 being up to par. The room was nice enough even though the décor within the corridors, restaurant and bathroom was very tired looking. They did at least provide a fan which allowed for a very good night's sleep. The shower aspired to be abysmal though. Very little water pressure coupled with a shower head which would not stay upright and hot water that took about 5 minutes to come through led to a very frustrated hotel guest. Breakfast was ok I guess. A cooked breakfast where I requested the bread not toasted although one slice was either stale or had been partially toasted before they realized. The sausages were supermodel thin and the apple juice was tepid. Staff were nice and friendly although I did have to ring the reception bell every time I needed to be seen. Overall I was disappointed with the small touches that could have made a big difference.
