Positive: The setting next to the canal was idyllic and our room on the canalside of the property was very quiet.

Negative: With hindsight I don’t believe there are any en-suite facilities at this property. This was actually an oversight on my part.My error because I thoughtI had booked an en-suite room so this is the only reason I have marked down slightly on my ratings.

Positive: I've stayed there a few times over the last few years and always enjoy the quiet scenic area and being greeted by the chickens on arrival.. The room was clean and comfortable. The cooked breakfast was very tasty and plenty of choice for the cold options too

Positive: Brilliant, peaceful location. With chickens! Gail was a lovely host and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was whatever I wanted, with fresh day-old egg. The room was quiet, clean with great views over the canal and garden, which was available for use.
