Summary: The B&B is a really nice establishment in a lot of ways. Beautiful, spacious rooms and common areas, great and friendly service in the adjacent bar. It is also located in a great neighborhood with plenty of amenities close by. Did not partake in the breakfast. Unfortunately, the main reason for my booking a stay there was the description of soundproofed rooms which couldn't be further from the truth. There was noise coming from all angles; banging from upstairs and next door, doors slamming from adjacent rooms, conversations heard through the walls, gurgling water from the over the bed heating unit and constant beeping and delivery drivers outside the window. Due to this, we never got a decent nights sleep during our stay. Now this description was from Hotels.com, but if it is not accurate, then the establishment should review and correct it. In addition, all communication with the staff can only be done via call or text. Neither of these methods ever produced a response. After an unanswered email, voice message and face to face request with one of the staff, requesting a late checkout to support a late train home, I was still left with no response. When I finally was able to speak with the owner, she reluctantly only let us stay an extra 30 minutes, claiming that they were quite busy. While we were allowed to leave our luggage and wait in the common area, I realized that "quite busy" meant taking down Christmas decorations in an unoccupied bed & breakfast. Pretty lame.

Summary: The Publishing House was easily one of our favorite stays in Chicago. The rooms and common areas are super comfortable, tastefully decorated and have a unique charm. We appreciate the one-of-a-kind feeling and personal touches. Breakfast was lovely, all the staff were thoughtful and kind. We look forward to returning.

Summary: This was my first time ever booking at a bed & breakfast and it was amazing!!! The staff were so helpful & great. The breakfast was very delicious. My room was perfect & clean. Everyone was so lovely. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Summary: everything about this b&b was amazing! beautiful design, incredible breakfast, great vibe, great location. The bed was too soft for both my husband and I sadly, so our sleep wasn't as great as we hoped, but this is totally a personal preference, everything else was amazing and very thoughtful!

Summary: This BnB was a rare find for us on our recent trip to Chicago. The location is perfect, on a quiet street, and within walking distance of great restaurants. We liked the music while we ate our tasty breakfast in the common area. Our room was very spacious and modern. A bonus was the Press Room wine bar downstairs! Would highly recommend.
