The Prairie Rose Guesthouse is located near the heart of quaint downtown Prairie City in Eastern Oregon, along the Old West Scenic Bikeway. Built in 1889 it is one of the older homes in Prairie City. The self-catering facility is a great jumping off point for all kinds of outdoor activities any season of the year.
The Prairie Rose Guesthouse has a fully equipped kitchen and sleeps 9 people in our 4 Regions of Oregon guestrooms with a couch and several pack-n-plays available for additional sleeping as well. Summary: The guest house was super cute and a joy to stay in during my work trip. I loved being able to come home at night and read a book from the little collection in the living room or to cook myself an actual dinner (instead of a sad microwave dinner in a hotel). Would definitely stay here again!

Summary: I was very pleasantly surprised . I loved the decor and all the books. I was unfortunate to accidently break a beautiful picture in the bathroom, I felt so bad about it, I instantly called and let them know what happened, told them I would be more than happy to pay for it. Was so suprised was told not to worry about it. I love this place and would deffinatly recomend it to anyone who looks into i.

Summary: The Prairie Rose exceeded our expectations. The wonderful 1887 historic house had modern kitchen and bathrooms plus air conditioning. It was perfectly located for our activities of visiting the John Day Monuments and exploring the area. We loved our stay!
