Positive: Beautiful home in a quiet area of Bathgate. Short taxi to the station with direct train to Edinburgh. Clean, cozy, and detached. Greetings from a welcoming host and friendly doggos! Absolutely recommended, would stay again. Felt very relaxed after a long trip from the midlands! Thanks again to our hosts

Positive: Everything! Linda was a very friendly and generous host. She went above and beyond what i expected, including getting our washing off the line while we were out, so it didn't get wet again in the rain. There was milk, bread, butter and jams in the fridge, and 2 delicious strawberry cream tarts! There were also cereals and bars that we could have used. The annex had everything you might need and was very comfortable. There were plenty of towels. Parking was behind the locked gate, and we were able to put our bike in the garage. The setting was peaceful with a lovely outlook onto a large lawn and trees. While it was a wee way out of Bathgate's center, and you would need a car, it was a short drive to the station. We caught the train to Glasgow and Edinburgh saving the hassle of finding parking in those cities. It was also handy for Stirling and Falkirk.

Positive: Linda is the most gracious host EVER!!! She made us strawberry tarts for our first breakfast, she also provided her own chickens fresh eggs along with milk, butter, bread and she got me ice because I use it in my water bottle every day, all day!!! The cottage is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL and has EVERYTHING you would possibly need for a stay! Linda has thought of everything for her guests!!! I felt as if I were at home in their beautiful cottage and property! They have chickens and sheep which makes it so special!!! I fell in love with the place and Linda and hope to keep in touch with her. Her husband Dave is just as kind as she is! Truly beautiful people! If I ever have the opportunity to visit beautiful Scotland again, I will definitely stay at Ploughman's Poet!!! A++++++++ Rating!!❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Love and a big THANK YOU to Linda and Dave!!!😍
