The Periwinkle is a quaint, marine style, seaside residence located between the beach and the harbour in Duncannon. Duncannon is situated on the Hook Peninsula, where there are numerous sandy beaches and many historic sites. Our house is located just a couple of hundred metres from the beautiful strandand there are also a couple of lovely pubs and restaurants along with the historic fort all within this little village. There is a spiral staircase in the house which can cause inconvenience to some guests and we apologize in advance and please don’t book with us if this may be a problem!

Summary: This is a charming, immaculate property in a quaint village with nice restaurants. The bedrooms are only accessible by spiral staircase which is suitable for fit adults and older kids. The master has low ceilings. Large kitchen. Ferry to Passage East is the easiest route to Waterford. Short walk to beach. Free parking on street. Charming and affordable.

Summary: Excellent location between harbour and beach, grandchildren liked the quirkiness of the property. Parking a bit difficult on the road when busy and a washing machine would have been more useful than dishwasher, especially after water-based activities. Fairly well equipped generally.
