Positive: A very stylish hotel with a calm relaxing vibe. The staff were all pleasant, attentive and efficient. The food and drink was superb, both at breakfast and dinner.

Positive: The Penny Bun exceeded expectations. Loved the pared back but exceedingly comfortable and high quality accommodation. The food (evening meal and breakfast) was delicious, beautifully presented, thoughtfully sourced and served by a very welcoming and capable staff.

Positive: Beautiful setting Loved the garden room extension

Negative: Tbh the bedrooms are very dull, I know it’s all about the mushroom colour etc interior design but the lighting is v poor to the point it is depressing. We stayed in room 1 and had 2 aspects but all a little to dull with dark wood. I actually didn’t like it think it not very hygienic that you have to come out of the wet room toilet area to wash your hands. Also lacking in mirror lighting to apply make up, with only having a v small mirror on the window which you had to sit on a very low stool again the long mirror was in a very dark area. I would like to say staff are excellent and very helpful they get 5*

Summary: Enjoyed our stay but wouldn’t rush back.

Positive: The property was decorated to a really high standard. The location is beautiful. A lovely place to stay. Products in the room were high quality.

Negative: The room was very dark, which made it hard to get ready. More in room would make it better, shower cap, toothpaste etc. And top up of water for room.

Summary: Lovely relaxing stay, food and hotel lovely, just a few little changes would make it even better.
