Positive: A gem of a place in the Welsh countryside. Quiet and peaceful and a stunning little conversion. Monmouth only a few miles down the road, a great pub within walking distance and a local gin distillery which is definitely worth a visit. The property was warm, smart, comfortable and the owners went out of their way to add the little extras such as dog treats, dog towells and a dog bed. Our pack has never been so chilled. Enclosed garden is enclosed which was great for us and just down the road, if you have a reactive dog, there are secure dogs fields. Lots to explore in the local area. We could not have asked for a better place to stay.

Negative: Just a minor thing, the garden has a steep bank and in places slippery to get up and down which meant cleaning the garden was tricky. Our more senior dog had to work out the best way to go up and down but eventually cracked it, but for adults, some steps built in would be appreciated for when we come back so we don't slip.

Positive: Great location on a small farm and nicely situated between a couple pubs which both serve food and have access to lots of local walking routes. Only a 10 minute drive to Monmouth where you will find plenty of shops and cafes.

Positive: Lovely cottage took our 3 dogs with us, just perfect enclosed garden and a bed waiting for them along with a jar of tasty treats. The cottage had everything we needed and the hamper was nice on arrival. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Positive: The Calf Barn cottage was beautiful! If you want a little place to unwind and chill with your little fur-babies, then this is the ideal place. Everything you need and it’s well equipped. Owners - Hannah and Lucy, think I met Hannah was welcoming and lovely! Hoping to return in Nov/Dec time. 🥰

Positive: Converted stone barn which had been done to a very high standard, very comfortable, warm and light. Garden was totally secure for our dog and lane walking on the doorstep. We received a very warm welcome.
