Positive: Location was great and staff is friendly and helpful

Negative: My room was very noisy. The room was on the ground floor and next to the elevator. Very noisy and I could hear the lift landing or moving and the doors opening and closing. The air conditioning was also noisy. I had to turn it off to be able to sleep. Breakfast was included but it was only a continent breakfast and not much there. Very disappointing breakfast.

Positive: Free parking behind the hotel is amazing. It has free flow coffee and water at the lobby. The room size is big. The room's sound insulation is good to get good sleep and rest.

Negative: The hotel knew we were coming with a family of four however the room towels is only set for 2 persons and ask us to collect the shortage in the lobby. The breakfast is too basic which is not worth paying for. The toilet door in the room couldn't be locked..

Positive: Nice location for kids at Syracuse University (moving in). Easy check in. On site self-parking for no additional fee. Rooms were pleasantly a step up from even the pics on website. Charming. Great shower with dual shower head.

Negative: Debate about the mattress…. I like softer mattresses so I thought it was very comfortable. My husband likes stiff mattresses so he felt like he was “sleeping in a hole”. All of the pillows were very fluffy-no option for those of us who like firmer/flatter pillow.

Summary: Will definitely stay again! Charming older hotel with very nice remodel/updating.

Positive: It was a gracious old hotel, built in 1926. The rooms were spacious and clean and nicely appointed. The staff was friendly and accommodating. And it was near Phoebe’s, an excellent restaurant.

Negative: The location, while convenient to the hospital complex and Syracuse University, was not in the best neighborhood, but we felt safe walking in the area during the daytime.

Summary: It was a perfect location within walking distance of the hospital where our new granddaughter was born!
