2 Bedroom Cabin in Steele Creek, Charlotte

Our cabin, Overlook, rests on the main channel of Lake Wylie, yet is tucked inside a sheltered bay. It is the closest proximity to Charlotte of any lake in NC. In 20 minutes you can be downtown and 15 minutes to the airport! There are fabulous restaurants, shopping and other amenities within a 10 minute drive. We have a fully stocked kitchen with all the cookware wine glasses etc that you will need for your stay. The 180 degree lake view oriented due west provides some exquisitely dramatic sunsets. You can relax and unwind while you watch amazing scenery from the patio, the covered porch, hammock or dock.
The house has tongue and grove wood paneling throughout, even on the ceilings of the den and dining room. It has recently been updated, but the original "lake cabin" feel has been kept. It has the feel of privacy and seclusion.
You will love the beach! It is perfect for the kids to run around and play in the sand while you watch from the patio or dock. The "bay" offers a safe swimming environment, being indented into the shoreline, feel comfortable and confident that your loved ones are safe from boat traffic. You will have access to a canoe, kayak and stand up paddle board to launch out on an adventure from the beach.
Upon entering, you will find the cabin to be clean and well kept. We take great pride in this! You will have clean sheets, clean kitchen, and house so you won't need to worry about bringing anything but yourself!

Summary: The lake view was amazing - beautiful sunsets, beach area, and calming vistas. Even better, we were able to bring our furry family member. We took the boats out and explored the lake and coves. Definitely recommend!!

Summary: This house was the perfect getaway for a girls weekend. The indoor fireplace provided much needed warmth during our stay. The screened in porch with rockers were nice to have happy hour with a view bug free. The beach on the lake with a fire pit provided wonderful memories.

Summary: Cabin, was great. Way more then the wife and i needed but glad we went there. Weather turned out nice. Had a fire by the beach one nite and relaxed. A day in just unwinding, and a couple quick trips to Charlotte were super convenient. Will definitely recommend

Summary: Wonderful cabin with breath taking views. Comfy on the inside and relaxing on the outside. Not far from the city. Plenty of lake activities that are fun and entertaining. You will not be disappointed with choice. The owners were easy to communicate with and they were unbelievably gracious to a humble guest. I can’t thank them enough!

Summary: Exactly what my husband and I were looking for: A cozy traditional lake house for a serene get-a-away. Place was spotless, and the beds were super comfortable. Our nephew and his wife joined us for rwo nights with their 6 month old and all three had the best night’s sleep in 6 months! Loved the knotty pine cabinets and paneling. Location was very quiet, yet short drives to grocery, restaurants etc. Host was super responsive and delightful.

Summary: Overall a positive visit! Georgia, the property manager, was helpful, easy to communicate with and allowed us to check in early. The rental was charming and served our purposes. Sleeping 8 feels ambitious- we were 4 people and that felt more appropriate. The property could have been a little more clean and upkeep could have been improved (beware of the soft/disconnected boards on the steps to the lake!) but overall we enjoyed it. Not much to do immediately around the rental (eg no restaurants), but drive 20 minutes and there’s lots. LOVED how close/convenient it was to the airport
