Summary: Fantastic old Rectory in a quiet country area ideal for walks along the nearby canal. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice cooked to order. Staff were helpful and friendly. Decor needs a bit of TLC but it is an old listed building.

Summary: Lovely location and grand old building but in need of attention as is the room. Attention to detail neglected: curtain pole fell off when drawing curtains and loo roll not easy to reach. Service was slow and inattentive with some essential utensils not available: I.e no teaspoons at breakfast! However, full Welsh breakfast was excellent quality. Missed more fruit options. Also bed was very comfortable.

Summary: The condition of the property is average tending to poor. The staff are great and the food was also excellent. The bed in our room had an old fashioned mattress and when my partner moved, so did I. The plumbing in the bathroom needed attention, noisy and the toilet took 20 mins to fill the cistern and sounded like a fire hose. Sink drainage also took ages probably because the plug was seized partially closed.

Summary: Convenient position for seeing the area. Very cold floor in bathroom, no bath mat supplied, we had to use one of our towels. additionally towel radiator not working and leaking bottom left making floor wet. Would have liked a net curtain at window of our ground floor room which overlooked the car park, had to keep curtains closed for privacy.
