Positive: Historical location, Poldark type farm buildings some grade 1 listed and ruins. A lovely spiritual feeling in the quaint cottage and location. Enjoyed hot showers, snuggling in blankets to watch TV some evenings. Activities - vast incredible landscapes, enjoyable coastal path walk, path to beach is round the back of the cove. It's a very beautiful sandy beach with a little cave, so have fun but the current is very strong. Cute chunky lighthouse, a tiny coastal rock pool with ladder to wild water swim. Fabulous and easy access to nearby places: Land's End, Penzance, St Ives, St Michael 's Mount and Marazion beach where I swam. The Geervon Tin mine, brilliant. I felt allowed to be independent and left to own devices, gorgeous weather, lovely owner's son and daughter in law. Very good value for money. Excellent base. The Pirates Pub and local facilities are good. Space available for a car at Manor Farm.

Negative: We would go to Old Dairy again, I left my heart there but bear in mind the following: on arrival, the postcode took us to the Captain's House. Noise in the fridge during the night kept me awake as I'm a light sleeper. No facilities to dry indoors.

Positive: There's nothing like the peace of this beautiful farm, the beauty of the ocean, the quiet and the lack of distraction. It helps you to focus your mind. When the weather's good, there's no better place to be than this British countryside. Shortly after we arrived the host Terry came to welcome us with flower and a bottle of wine. we loved The Old Dairy and hope to return again soon.

Positive: The location was beautiful, the property itself was ideal for what we needed as we spend majority of our time out and about. We loved how relaxed and remote the location was. The supervisor of the property was super nice and friendly.

Negative: The property was fine but the cleaning could have been upped a little. But nothing to cry about!!! We had a lovely time regardless of the temperamental kettle. (Again wasn’t a problem for us)

Summary: Rural, peaceful and off grid.
